Why does everyone in my family give me a hard time about my drinking?

I mean no offense as clearly I dont know you or your situation however as the son of a dedicated alcoholic I have a bit of experience in this area. My dad has had a slew of problems with drinking but still genuinely thinks he does nothing wrong. He too says its not the beer and could quit any time he likes he just chooses too. He really dosnt get how he is when hes kicked back a few because again hes a bit tipsy and his perception of reality at that point is a little biased. I know we all have a few people in our lives that make a big deal out of silly things but if its to the point where groups of people are going so far as throwing you an intervention its hard to say they are all wrong. At this point you may want to really stop and really think hard about it. You may have the best of intentions and truly feel the problem is not yours but then again thats a common theme with people who have drinking issues. Again I dont know your situation but I know what I see and stories such as yours are very common unfortunately. Something to think about.
