Old TV Show Question--Roseanne's Final Show?

I interpreted it to be that the entire storyline (all seasons) were part of a book Roseanne was writing, and none of the storylines we watched over the years, actually happened. The truth came out on the last episode. It definitely was creative, but I miss the show. I still watch it on Nick at Nite. If the series were based on this premise, it would be hard to have a reunion show, but that would be so cooooool.
