What is the best way to train a young filly of 7 months old?

I have a beautiful young paint filly, and a young stallion of 1 year old, my husband is really great with horses, but I am just starting out, I don't know a lot about Parelli training and would love to hear from experienced horse trainers, I am just their friend right now and they know I bring treats, but I would like to know how get them interested in me other than treats, they are calm, friendly, will come right up to me and never spook or anything. Also the stallion behaves like he is gelded, he is only just over a year, my husband is not going to have him gelded, and I would like to know if I can start attempting to ride him this summer or when is the best age to start?
