My mollies (fish) are sucking on each other?

I have a pair of mollies which I thought were males, but mysteriously a baby fish popped out of nowhere. I just observed the pair sucking on each other's sides. They take turns sucking on each other.. Looks like they are fighting but I'm not sure. Is that how they mate? wtf? thanks
