I can't listen to hiphop anymore, it's all sounding the same, what happened?

I guess I'm old school...beatles/rollingstones/zep/grand… I fell off the rap ledge ever since I found myself wearing a thin green tie on a black satin shirt, dancing with sharp pointy shoes, by myself in a club to MC Hammer, 'can't touch this.' OMG, I can't believe I did that. Now I love going into a pool hall, loading up some old Bad Company and shooting pool or some Mean Street Van Halen. Three songs in, a love ballad hip hop song comes on, I my cue stick goes, "vreeeerrr...." I miss the shot. And the jukebox dishes out like 18 hiphop songs in a row, and I can't tell them apart. Is it me?
